This blog will be a little different. My travel dates were Dec 5th-16th. That’s a lot of blogging to do under one post, so I’m going to break it up into mini blogs.
I traveled with Turkish Airways going and coming back I traveled with Emirates. Honestly I wanted to fly business class, but tickets were very expensive and 2 the flight times were not suitable for me, so economy I went. The difference in the flight ticket I was able to add more activities on my itinerary. My ticket was $1640. I think that’s a good price being that I bought the ticket a month prior to leaving. Both airlines was very good. I felt comfortable and ate very well. I actually got some good sleep which is hard for me.
Kenya’s entry requirements are:

- A visa. The visa can be done online. The cost is $51. The link to apply is https://evisa.go.ke/single-entry-visa.html. Must print it out in color.
- Lastly you’ll need a Travelers health surveillance form. This is a QR code. The link to apply is https://ears.health.go.ke/international_registration/
I booked all my tours with Samuel Mwaura. His company is called Samton Safaris. He can be reached at 254-715-416432, his email is samtonsafaris@gmail.com, and his instagram is @samtonsafaris. I am a very satisfied customer and I HIGHLY recommend his services. I didn’t have to do anything. I told him what I wanted to do, and he put together an itinerary for me. The itinerary even was emailed to me as a pdf file. Love it. It is always the little things for me. He is also very flexible, and that to me is very important, and lastly he is very patient.
I landed in Kenya at 345a on Dec 6th. Next stop Mombasa. The flight was at 645a, and it is only an hour flight from Nairobi. Mombasa was very hot!
I checked at PrideInn Paradise Beach hotel around 10am. I picked the package where I got breakfast lunch and dinner included. Basically an all inclusive package. All meals are buffet style unless you’re doing à la carte. Breakfast is the only meal where the drinks are free of charge. Lunch and dinner drinks are for purchase. I still don’t know how to feel about that lol.
The room was decent. Had a cute little terrace access outside. The only thing I didn’t like was the hot water situation. Sometimes it was cold and sometimes it was warm.
This hotel is kid friendly. I didn’t want to stay here because of that reason, but it looked like the better option out of the hotels I’ve seen. The hotel is decent. Has a few restaurants, swim up pool bar, small beach, gym, and other things. I missed breakfast so I had to buy lunch. I bought a seafood pizza with a side of fries. To drink, I had a Mombasa Island aka a long island iced tea. It was delicious.
Later in the afternoon, I did a camel ride. The cost was $10 USD. It wasn’t a long ride, but it was enjoyable. That was the main thing I wanted to do in Mombasa.
