Lamia’s Fish Market

The infamous flower wall

I found this hidden gem on an app called Open table. I was in the area for an event and was hungry and didn’t know what to eat. I used the app and searched current location and Lamia’s Fish Market popped up. It is located at 47 Avenue B New York, NY. I went on a Sunday so parking wasn’t too bad.

My friend and I were greeted by two young ladies with a pleasant smile on their faces. One lady went to go see if there was any tables available, and I mentioned to the other lady stating this would be a cool blog post due to the esthetics of the establishment. She mentioned there is a flower wall in the back and I can take as much pics as I like. Lovely. By this time the other lady came back and mentioned there was no tables available. I found this to be strange because it didn’t look packed. The hostess who I mentioned about my blog told us she would be back. She came back within 1 minute and sat us right away. Talk about good customer service. I should’ve gotten her name.

Seafood flatbread

It is so romantic and cute inside of Lamia’s. It is perfect for a date night. It wasn’t too loud, the lightening was perfect, and the esthetic was on point.

Black Sea Bass Butterflied

My drink of choice was a glass of Rose. For starters we ordered the seafood flat bread. It had baby mussels, mushrooms and grilled octopus. For our entrees, my friend ordered the salmon burger which came with fries and these cute little pickles. I ordered the black sea bass butterflied. It does not come with any sides so I ordered a side of fries. Everything tasted amazing. The service was great. I always appreciate good service because there are establishments that give horrible service. I would definitely recommend this place.

Oh I remember a young lady celebrating her birthday as well. The servers came with these big sparklers and had the 50 cent birthday song playing. That was a nice touch.
